Overview

The Tyranny of Faggots, abbreviated as simply "The Tyranny" is an infamous group of some of 2b2t's most notorious griefers. The group was formally founded in early 2016, though the members had largely been working together since early 2015 and the Third Incursion. They are responsible for some of 2b2t's largest griefs and exploits, and are often referred to as a causal in the events of June First. In addition, the group is responsible for a number of backdoors on the server as well as the current existence of illegal items on 2b2t.

History

Creation

The Tyranny was founded after the destruction of Imperator's Base, at the commencement of 2016. The group was initially founded by the players jared2013 and taylo112 for the purpose of destroying The Lands. When the bed teleportation exploit of early 2016 was discovered by taylo112 and C4RTM4N, the three of them decided to create a link to The Lands. However, this was impossible without a bed being placed at the nether coordinates of The Lands. Taylo invited iTristan, who was unable to place the bed as he was no longer at The Lands. Tristan was, however, able to invite someone who was. The Tyranny's fourth member was popbob, who, on his ancient alt RadicalHiccup, was successful in placing the bed and allowing the destruction of The Lands.

After this, Sato86 dubbed this group of players "The Tyranny of 4 Faggots," a name that stuck and eventually became the official name of the group. The fifth member, c1yd3i, was introduced into the group sometime in April of 2016. At this point, the backdoor of The Tyranny was functional and The Tyranny had set up a new base at the location of taylo112's 2012 island, as well as a massive, world-edited bedrock sphere known as "The Archive." This base included many illegal items such as Superweapons, barriers, and end portals.
It should be noted that there was a subdivision with The Tyranny known as "The Triad of Trouble," which consisted of jared2013, taylo112, and iTristan. It was named by Jacktherippa.

The Archive

Early in the existence of the base, The Tyranny had a week during which they griefed a massive base every single day, a week which is now known as the Week of Destruction. The Archive base was not much of a base, rather, it was a collection of duplicated items within a bedrock sphere. There were also some sub-stashes of items on the island, and an Ender Dragon defeat monument made of bedrock. The base did not include every member of The Tyranny, as popbob was not invited. Later, on accident, c1yd3i leaked the base to Jacktherippa, which ended the backdoor and conclusively the "golden age" of The Tyranny.

Involvement in June First

The Tyranny is often cited as the main causal in the crisis of June First. As a result of The Tyranny's backdoor, many players fled to Constantiam, leaving 2b2t underpopulated and mainly inactive. It was so inactive, in fact, that for the first time in years, many players were able to skip the night by sleeping in beds, as they were alone on the server.

Present

It should be noted that this was not the end of The Tyranny. They later changed their name to nerds inc. officially and still operate as a group. Branillon was later inducted into the group as the sixth member, and eventually fr1kin as the seventh and IamTUNA as the eighth and most recent. Currently the group has eight members and is inactive on 2b2t. Only jared2013 is active on 2b2t, as of April 2018. The group is, however, still active outside of 2b2t and operates currently on Riot.

Backdoor

The Tyranny created a backdoor through hacking an account which was given operator permission by the server owner. They got the password from a website on the deep-web. They obtained many illegal items using this backdoor and many coordinates. They leaked the coordinated of King's Landing, and soon after, one of the founders OreMonger was forced to destroy it.
