Illegal items are items that have been hacked in by various backdoors, exploits, glitches, and things of that nature. Some of these items have a purpose, others don't. Most of them are considered valuable by the general population, due to their rarity. Some of these items are even exclusive to 2b2t, as some of them have never been truly seen on any other Minecraft server, which truly enhances 2b2t's uniqueness.

Stacked armor

These items will be listed with a rarity based on how hard it is to find or obtain them, if still possible:

Barrier blocks at iTristan's stash during the third Backdoor
Deletion of an illegaly placed End portal frame in the End.
Deletion of an illegaly placed End portal frame in the End.

Obtainable Hacked Items

  • Alpha leaves – Obtained by breaking leaves with a Silk Touch pickaxe between versions 1.0.0 and 1.4.7 (November 18, 2011 – December 28, 2012). Doing this led to a bug in which the data value of the block changed, due to an oversight with the leaf data values and how they interacted with Silk Touch.[1] These can still be found on the server from when this bug was in the game.[2] In version 1.7, these leaves received the famous black and purple squares texture. Due to the removal of numeric block IDs in version 1.13, Alpha Leaves will convert to regular Oak leaves.
  • Fake wooden slabs/Alpha slabs – Wooden slabs crafted prior to the 1.3 update (August 1, 2012), before which wooden slabs had the same ID as stone slabs. These wooden slabs had the same properties as stone slabs, making them fireproof, minable with a pickaxe, and more blast resistant. The 1.3 update changed the wooden slab ID to 126, while the older "Alpha slabs" retained the 44:2 ID. Later on, the texture of this ID was removed from the game, rendering these slabs with the black and purple squares. Due to the removal of numeric block IDs in version 1.13, Alpha slabs will become a new item called petrified oak slabs, retaining their stone-like properties but losing their black and purple square texture.
  • Hacked ID items – Items with the wrong ID. They have a missing texture like Alpha leaves and slabs. They were spawned in by iTristan sometime before the 1.8 update.

Hacked Items disabled by Hausemaster

These are items that were in circulation on the server at some point, but have since been disabled through the use of plugins by the server's admin, Hausemaster. These items can still be stored in shulkers and chests as long as they are not opened. In the past, if these items were in a shulker, players could ".peek" into them with certain hacked clients. Illegal stacked items can still be unstacked with the use of droppers.

  • Pig Spawners (Formerly very common) Spawned in by popbob during the first Backdoor, also distributed to and duped at omaliymix and CreamOfTheSlop's dupe stashes. Become deleted if in inventory or viewed. All placed pig spawners were removed by Hausemaster during the 1.12 update. They made a resurgence along with Super Weapons, but were later patched again.
  • Player Heads (Formerly common) Originally spawned in by iTristan and Pyrobyte during the second Backdoor, later heads were spawned in by The Tyranny in early 2016. Disabled by Hausemaster along with some other items during the 1.12 server update due to creating a "circlejerk environment".
  • Stacked Armor (Formerly common) Spawned in by iTristan and Pyrobyte during the second Backdoor. Unstacks automatically while in inventory or viewed by player since 1.12.
  • Enchanted Glass (Formerly uncommon) Unknown how they made their way to the server. Becomes normal glass while in inventory or viewed by player since 1.12. Existed in multiple different colors.
  • Super Weapons (Formerly very rare) (also known as 32ks) Originally spawned in by iTristan and Pyrobyte during the second Backdoor, later reacquired by Kinorana during an unexpected resurgence, then re-removed, then later reacquired by AlphaComputer, duped then propagated in 2018/2019. Reverts to the max possible vanilla enchant level while in inventory or viewed since 1.12, unless using certain hacked clients.
  • Bedrock (Formerly extremely rare) Originally spawned in by popbob during the first Backdoor, also distributed to and duped at omaliymix and CreamOfTheSlop's dupe stashes. Later spawned in by iTristan and Pyrobyte during the second Backdoor, then spawned in by The Tyranny during the third Backdoor. Impossible to use, also impossible to view without deleting since 1.12. Illegally placed bedrock existed at many locations throughout the server, but they were also the target of griefers from groups such as the 4th Reich, Anti Bedrock Society, The Klansmen and Breakery. The most infamous structure was the Bedrock Comet.
  • Spawn Eggs (Formerly extremely rare) Originally spawned in by popbob during the first Backdoor, also distributed to and duped at omaliymix and CreamOfTheSlop's dupe stashes. It is also believed that Hausemaster gave them to players in 2011. At the time of the full illegals patch, only one active player (and possibly his basemates/friends) were confirmed to have them. Later spawned in by Pyrobyte during the second Backdoor.
  • Command Blocks (Formerly extremely rare) Spawned in by Pyrobyte. Given to select players during the Second Backdoor, but were unusable and couldn't be placed. Fit theorized that Hacked ID items could turn into them.
  • Barrier Blocks (Formerly extremely rare) Found in iTristan's stashes, but he refused to have anything to do with them being there. According to Jacktherippa, 2 barriers blocks were placed on the +X Highway on the way to iTristan illegal stash. One was present at Aureus City, current whereabouts of other placed Barriers unknown.
Locked Chest, End Portal Frames, Water Blocks, Pig Spawners and Fire Blocks in Parthicus's inventory, from omaliymix's dupe stash.
End Portal Frames in passie05's inventory during the first Backdoor.
  • End Portal Frames (Formerly extremely rare) Spawned in by popbob during the first Backdoor, also distributed to and duped at omaliymix and CreamOfTheSlop's dupe stashes. Perhaps some remaining placed End Portal Frames still exist, but most of them were broken by many players over the years.

Hacked Items removed by Mojang

  • Fire Blocks, Spawn Eggs and Pig Spawners in Parthicus's inventory, from omaliymix's dupe stash.
Infinite Blocks (aka Infinites or Infs) (Formerly extremely rare) Blocks that could be held and placed an infinite number of times. Originally discovered and utilized by the players at ZiggyBase. Deleted by Mojang along with all other negative items.
  • Locked Chests (Formerly extremely rare) Spawned in by popbob during the first Backdoor, also distributed to and duped at omaliymix and CreamOfTheSlop's dupe stashes. Deleted by Mojang in the 1.7.2 update.
  • Water Blocks/Fire Blocks (Formerly extremely rare) Spawned in by popbob during the first Backdoor, also distributed to and duped at omaliymix and CreamOfTheSlop's dupe stashes. Deleted by Mojang in the 1.8 update.

Possible Hacked Items

  • "Glitched" Books (AKA super books that have 32K enchants) Were intended to be deleted in 2b2t's 1.12 update, unknown if exists.
