Donfuer 28 was the greatest base built by Donfuer until that point. It holds the titles of being the largest End base in 2b2t history, as well as largest overall base by area. It was the longest lasting main base in Donfuer history.

History

Humble Beginnings

In early 2023, Lukent & D_loaded began to discuss plans for the next main base. Lukent suggested to D_loaded the idea of an untraceable base, intending to do something similar to what The Spawnmasons had done with SkyMasons. Working with a programmer, they replicated the proxy system the Spawnmasons used for Sky, allowing members to log on without seeing the true coordinates. During this time, it was decided that the group would move their main base into The End. The idea was to travel millions of blocks out, and build the base in the void. At this time, another base was started by D_loaded called CollabFuer. This base kept many members of the group active while preparations were made. After Lukent travelled multiple accounts out into the End to the location of the base, he and N8TT began work on the center island of the base that became the Main Island. A large black concrete floor just above the void was constructed to prevent accounts from falling in, and multiple large end islands were completely removed to make room for the center island. Darkomier was given access to one of the accounts at the base and he constructed the center island that was designed by D_loaded. Meanwhile, Lukent worked with N8TT to transport materials to the base using an old pearl lane that was later removed. After the center island was completed, Bonk2b2t and JoetheBlu3 were given access to proxies and they, along with D_loaded, built much of the Castle Town on the Main Island.

Over the next couple months, only a few select members of Donfuer were given access to the base, in order to keep the base secure. In August 2023, 2b2t updated to 1.19.4. This caused issues with the Proxy System that was planned to be used to keep the base secure, so discussions began amongst leadership about how they would proceed. It was found out at this time that VaydenPayne was insiding the group for Teutonic Order, and was kicked after several bases were griefed in quick succession. After Vayden was kicked, several trusted members of the group were given access to the base including Traveeseemo, Phosph0lipid, Senko_Foxx, and Max1mumChr1s.

Early Construction

Phospho designed an island, built on the server by Darkomier, where she would build in her signature Futuristic Style. She designed large and intricate builds here, placing signs in the area as her "Final Goodbye" to the server when she quit 2b2t. Traveeseemo built a Futuristic dragon next to this island, which was the 4th dragon built at the base.

Max1mumChr1s and Traveeseemo built several houses on the main island, while Senko_Foxx built small cloud islands around the base. Progress quickly sped up, and several other islands were planned, such as the Asian Island, the CyberPunk Island, The Evil Island, The Mapart Gallery, and the Dock Area.

The first major project that was undertaken after the main island was built was to construct the 2 massive dragons next to it. These dragons were designed by members of the group to fit the initial theme of a Fantasy Island for the main area of the base. Toska designed the Red Dragon and the Yellow Dragon was designed by Phosph0lipid. Both of these dragons were then built on the server by Darkomier.

Max1mumChr1s devoted much of his early time at the base terraforming and constructing a large mapart gallery at the base that held a large private mapart collection. These maps were gathered from many bases that members of Donfuer were invited to and from friends of the group such as Geezer Town 6, Animal Kingdom, Spawn Projects, and gifts from friends. The gallery had underground areas that were meant to house some of the larger maparts. This island had the infamy of causing accounts at the base to crash due to lag caused by the enormous amount of entities that were loaded when someone travelled too close to it.

N8TT and Max1mumChr1s worked together to construct the base of the Asian Island after Phospho's area was built. This was in an effort to continue activity at the base. Tukamateer built a large wall and gatehouse on the island, as well as constructing the large blue roofed build on the island. Traveeseemo and Bonk filled this island, adding many unique builds to the area. This island was the place that Senko_Foxx began to throw eggs in order to spawn chickens because the group planned to transport other animals and villagers in the future. A statue of a chicken was constructed on the island in memoriam of this.

After the construction of the Asian Island, D_loaded decided to start work on a large dock area just north of the Asian Area. He constructed several large towers and mushroom builds in a style he enjoyed. He built large docks around the area and expanded around the existing island. Max1mumChr1s expanded upon this idea by building a large man-made ocean around the island. He spent a week constructing the edges, filling it with water source blocks using a technique he learned while working on the Southern Canal with the WaterWay Union. Senko_Foxx came in after the ocean was filled and placed kelp, coral, and sea-grass all around the inside of the water. Boats and other ocean themed builds were made by D_loaded, Max1mumChr1s, and N8TT.

Hotpandalovin504 arrived at the base and began construction on a large Mayan Temple Pyramid. He built this pyramid in the northeast corner of the base, and it was considered to be one of the best builds at the base. He built a large jungle area around the temple, and he and Max1mumChr1s built several small statues throughout the jungle. There were plans to construct player statues in this temple, but it was never completed.

At the same time that Panda began working on his temple, N8TT began putting interiors in every house on the main island. He started with his diagonal house area, then going to every house and building on the main island. Max1mumChr1s and Traveeseemo also added interiors to the builds they made. N8TT put interiors into every build on the main island, also adding a full interior to much of the Castle. This inspired the future plans where every member of the base built a room for themselves in the castle that was unique to them. The downside to this effort to interior every build on the Main Island was when N8TT had the idea to place brown mushrooms next to one of the houses. It was unknown to the base members at the time that Enderman could pick up mushrooms and place them in another location. This began what the members of the base referred to as the "Great Mushroom War". It took a full month to stop the spread of the mushroom from around the island.

Mid-Construction

The next major island that was built was the Evil Island. This island was constructed by Lukent and N8TT and the Castle was built by Darkomier. After the completion of the castle, D_loaded built houses on this island. Other members of the base also built houses here such as Deathstar784, Max1mumChr1s, Bonk2b2t, and N8TT. N8TT built the third dragon at the base here, constructing a 2-Headed Black Dragon breathing fire into the broken portion of the castle. Max1mumChr1s asked a friend of his to design an obsidian statue of Sauron to place on the Evil Island, constructing it with Lukent, stating it was one of the hardest things he ever built due to the great detail. Other members of the base contributed to this area, all adding houses of their own. After Javikia was added to the base, he completed construction of the housing area on the Evil Island.

Next, Deathstar784 suggested to D_loaded to build an area similar to the game "Cyberpunk 2077". D_loaded designed the base island of the cyberpunk area and it was built on the server by Lukent. It included green glass rivers flowing through it to give the feel of a toxic waste future area. Members of the base built large and intricate skyscrapers. This area was expanded once by Deathstar to allow for more builds to be made, and there was a plan to create even a third section of this area, but this was never completed. N8TT thought to create a group of billboards on this area to make it seem more futuristic, and Max1mumChr1s suggested to add redstone lights to the roadways on the island to add to the aesthetic. He found a tutorial for this and it was later completed by N8TT.

TorturedCosine came to the base after the destruction of his personal "Skyrim Base". He decided he wanted to make a large build that was reminiscent of this base, so he began work on a large globe with 2 large castles held inside. It was held underneath by 2 large obsidian hands, and construction of a large mask was begun as well. Cosine was never able to finish this build.

As the base grew, several other members of Donfuer were added to the base such as rainbowren11 and FIRECATinBLACK. They all logged onto the base and added builds in their unique styles to areas already constructed. Not long after being added to the base however, rainbowren11 accidentally streamed the base in VC to Javikia, Mako1301, Swavy (pvpimp), and Sanuty while getting some banners for a Gatekeepers project, so they were also added to the base discord and given access to the proxy accounts at the base.

Late Construction

The base continued to grow, and Lukent began removing more of the existing End Islands from around the base. Many of these islands were ugly and half dug out. Lukent began to AFK mine out the islands; Max1mumChr1s, TorturedCosine, DeathStar, Darkomier, and others at the base helped with this effort, cleaning up the base, and creating greater voids between the islands. This also helped with the look of the base, truly making it feel like it was built in the middle of nowhere.

In all, about 50 million blocks of end stone were removed in the construction of the base, making it one of the largest single excavation projects ever undertaken on 2b2t.

One of the largest islands built was the "Heaven Island", constructed by knullsidor. The island base was built completely out of wool that was farmed using several string dupers built at the base when they were active during 1.19.4. The walls and gates were designed to look like the "Pearly Gates" typically depicted of Heaven. A large coliseum was built by knullsidor, and completed in June 2024. There were plans to construct other temples and angel-themed builds on the island, but they were never finished.

One of the last islands to be built was the Fantasy Island between the Dock Island and the Asian Island. This island was designed by JoetheBlu3 and was constructed by Max1mumChr1s and Boojr. Above the island was the 5th dragon at the base, which was a Blue Wyvern designed by Vethre. The island was planned to have many interesting builds on it, but due to time constraints, it was not completed.

Many other smaller builds were spread around the base in between the islands to fill space and make the base feel more complete. These included the many smaller islands constructed by Senko_Foxx, the Enderman farm built by Max1mumChr1s, Glubtubbis' Space Dock, the Battle Pyramid, and the Planet Express Space Ship.

Destruction & Aftermath

In late June, 2024; N8TT, Lukent, and Max1mumChr1s began to have a bad feeling. They were aware of rumors that members of Outlast had been travelling in the End due to their known accounts dying to the void, but they did not put much thought into it. On July 3rd, 2024, Lukent decided to follow his gut and travel down the existing 1.12 chunk trail that led to the base. It was about 20k blocks away from the base that he discovered a pearl stasis staging area. Here he found signs naming two known members of Outlast, with active pearls placed. This was the confirmation he needed to pull a "Red Alert". He immediately notified N8TT, D_loaded, Deathstar, and Max1mumChr1s, all of which had their accounts at the base. They began preparation to move the over 250 dubs of materials from the base, gathering up everything they could from every island. All the materials and valuables from the base were moved away, and other members were then told the news.

At 2am EST on July 4th, all the members of the base that had accounts there gathered together in VC to blow up the base. Lukent destroyed the staging area that Outlast had, and the group self-griefed the base. Nigerianprince & jackafa_ showed up to the base while the builders were self-griefing and attempted to stop them, including killing one of the members of the base, but were unable to stop the grief.

After the grief, there was some changes to the structure of Donfuer, with several members of the base being promoted to higher ranks due to their contributions.

Builds and Architecture

Around the base, there were unique islands built to embody a different build style each member of the base enjoyed.

The Main Island: The main castle on the island was designed by D_loaded with houses built by most members of the base.
The Evil Island: This island was the second island that was built by most members of the base.
The Futuristic Island: This island was constructed specifically for Phosp0lipid.
The Mapart Gallery: This island was built and designed by Max1mumChr1s.
The Asian Island: This island was primarily built by Bonk2b2t and Traveeseemo with several other members building here.
The Dock Island: This island was built by D_loaded and Max1mumChr1s.
The CyberPunk Island: This island was managed by Deathstar784 with contributions from multiple other members of the base.
The SteamPunk Island: This smaller island was designed by D_loaded and constructed by TorturedCosine.
The Mayan Temple: This area was built by HotPandaLovin504.
The Pearl Ring: After the Update to 1.20.2, Deathstar designed a new pearl lane for the base members to use.
The Space Dock: This smaller area of the base was built by Glubtubbis.
Senko's Islands: These islands built around the base were constructed by Senko_Foxx.
